Use another Hitty as a guide for placing the features,
or use her measurements,
and check carefully that her nose and mouth are centered. Cut
a gentle slope extending the width of the face, from the tip of
the nose upward to the bridge of the nose, ending approximately
where the eyes will be. (The eye sockets on either side of the
bridge will eventually be the deepest point on the face but the
bridge and slope of the nose are part of her profile and are prominent.)
Nearly all blanks need the nose's 'ski-slope' curve to be cut,
or you will end up with a nose placed too high, up between the
eyes.
